About Luminai

Luminai addresses the critical gaps in healthcare operations by automating complex manual workflows across systems. By deploying autonomous AI systems to handle mission-critical processes, Luminai helps physicians and administrators concentrate on patient care. Supported by $60 million in funding, including a Series B led by Peak XV Partners, and backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors, the company operates from offices in San Francisco and New York, maintaining a four-day in-office workweek.

Role Overview

The Head of Talent will lead comprehensive recruitment efforts during a pivotal growth phase, establishing the foundations for successful scaling at Luminai. Reporting to the leadership team, this role involves creating recruitment strategies, managing full-cycle hiring across departments, and refining processes to enhance effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment with emphasis on critical positions in Engineering, Product, Design, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Collaborate with founders and hiring managers to clarify role expectations, interview procedures, and candidate evaluation standards.
  • Develop proactive sourcing plans to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Implement and oversee recruiting workflows including pipeline reviews, structured feedback, and decision-making routines.
  • Lead compensation and equity negotiations to ensure timely and confident candidate closures.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics such as funnel conversions and time to fill to optimize hiring success.
  • Create scalable hiring systems including ATS management, interview training, and candidate experience protocols.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives, including messaging, referrals, and community engagement to build future talent pools.
  • Assist leadership on team scaling processes like onboarding, role clarity, and feedback mechanisms.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum seven years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably within fast-growing tech companies.
  • Proven track record of managing full recruitment life cycles across various roles and seniority levels.
  • Strong skill set in sourcing and closing candidates effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with senior leadership.
  • Operational expertise in building recruitment systems and maintaining effective workflows without hindering team momentum.
  • Data-informed approach to recruitment, with experience leveraging analytics to enhance funnel efficiency.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, ideally Ashby, and the capability to develop scalable recruitment processes.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare technology or enterprise software organizations is advantageous.
