Job description

About Hyprwork

Hyprwork is a rapidly expanding company focused on creating and growing direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands. Its flagship brand, Rejuvacare, offers products like RejuvaKnee that aid adults in regaining mobility and reducing pain. Trusted by over 400,000 customers, shipments primarily reach the United States. In just one year, the company grew twelvefold to nearly 150 employees distributed over 15+ countries. Hyprwork operates as a remote-first and asynchronous culture with a strong emphasis on accountability.

Role Overview

This leadership position entails full ownership of the supply chain function, not mere coordination or purchasing duties. Hyprwork's physical product operations depend on original equipment manufacturing (OEM) partnerships in China with cross-border fulfillment to the US. Currently, approximately 100,000 units ship monthly across about 20 SKUs in three categories. As the brand portfolio expands, so will SKU counts and operational complexity.

The successful candidate will architect and manage the supply chain proactively — handling its design, costing, risk mitigation, staffing, and scaling well ahead of business growth. The present logistics operate lean: no in-house warehouses, shared fulfillment centers near Guangzhou and Shenzhen, per-order fees, inventory tracked via spreadsheets, and Slack communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically design and manage the end-to-end supply chain network including supplier base, warehouse and 3PL locations in southern China, carrier options, and scalable roadmap for a growing multi-brand portfolio.
  • Develop demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes aligning forecasts with sales velocity, marketing campaigns, and product launches, targeting intentional inventory coverage of 6-8 weeks balancing stockout risk against cash flow.
  • Lead sourcing and supplier management: qualify OEM suppliers, negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, and lead times; establish dual sourcing policies especially for high-demand products; manage supplier performance with scorecards; and supervise the China-based sourcing team.
  • Optimize logistics and landed costs per unit by implementing competitive bidding, volume negotiations, and routing disciplines across multiple shipping partners for both DTC and Amazon FBM channels.
  • Design and oversee quality assurance and returns management systems by analyzing defect trends, collaborating with factories to prevent recurrence, and integrating feedback loops with customer support.
  • Build and expand the supply chain team by recruiting, developing, and enforcing accountability; document SOPs, dashboards, and reporting to ensure function transparency and sustainability beyond individual contributors.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, and Amazon marketplace teams to ensure alignment and KPI reporting on landed cost, lead time, fulfillment accuracy, stock coverage, and defect rates.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive, hands-on experience managing end-to-end supply chain functions for direct-to-consumer or e-commerce businesses, ideally involving OEM manufacturing in China and cross-border fulfillment to the US.
  • Established operational capability in China time zone (GMT+8), either by local residence or proven success leading an on-site China team with regular factory visits; remote management through agents alone is insufficient.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning with demonstrated ability to generate forecasts, redesign cost structures, and scale networks with quantifiable outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of China manufacturing commercial operations, including factory qualification, MOQ negotiation, payment terms, freight forwarding economics, volumetric weight pricing, and mitigating risks of single-source dependencies.
  • Proven experience in team leadership involving hiring, mentoring, and transforming executors into owners, aligned with Hyprwork's standard of developing emerging leaders.
  • Excellent English communication skills across written and spoken forms suitable for leadership discussion, partner negotiation, and coordination with global teams.
  • Comfortable in a remote-first and asynchronous work environment emphasizing documented decisions, proactive escalation, and outcomes-oriented accountability, capable of maintaining ERP-level discipline using tools like Google Sheets during system buildout.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Fully remote position with significant authority over a critical function affecting the entire business.
  • Competitive salary accompanied by paid time off and a wellness stipend.
  • Company-funded computer allowance available after a tenure milestone.
  • Monthly bonus scheme, birthday gift card, and an allowance for in-country meetups.
  • Opportunities to participate in leadership offsites and direct interaction with company founders.
  • Work hours primarily between 8am and 12pm EST for live collaboration, with asynchronous work outside these times.
