Role Overview
The Head of Sales for the Regional Sales 2 (RS2) territory holds full commercial accountability for order intake, revenue, and margin performance across a diverse region including Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen. This region encompasses one of the company's most strategically important accounts, Qatar Energy, alongside significant national operator clients in Saudi Arabia, making the role's focus equally on executive account management and meeting commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of RS2's order intake and operational excellence targets, holding country and account leads responsible for their targets and escalating risks proactively.
- Drive pipeline recovery and acceleration for fiscal year 2027, emphasizing key opportunities such as Qatargas NFB/LTP and other critical deals.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline and forecasting processes including CRM data integrity, tracking slip registers, and monitoring key deals as per the Sales Division reporting schedules.
- Develop and sustain multi-level executive relationships within Qatar Energy, extending beyond direct commercial contacts to influential senior stakeholders.
- Advance the Master Service Agreement (MSA) trajectory with Qatar Energy and replicate successful models across the sub-region in partnership with other leadership and global teams.
- Create and implement account development strategies for Saudi Arabian national operators and Oman affiliates (SA, OQ).
- Lead, mentor, and manage the RS2 country and account teams, fostering a high-performing, commercially-oriented sales culture.
- Collaborate with Sales Application Support and Sales Operations to ensure high-quality tender submissions and adherence to RFQ requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional engagement with Major & Unconventional (M&U) and PB/LTP teams to ensure comprehensive account coverage, particularly for Saudi Arabia program business.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in sales or commercial roles within gas services, rotating equipment, or wider energy/industrial capital equipment sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting order intake and profit & loss targets in Middle Eastern markets, with a preference for experience involving Qatar Energy or comparable national oil companies.
- Expertise managing large, strategically critical single-account relationships alongside broader territory management.
- Demonstrated people leadership skills managing dispersed, multi-country teams.
- Engineering education, ideally in mechanical, chemical, or related disciplines.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic and/or Urdu is advantageous due to the territory coverage.
