Role Overview

The Risk team at Revolut operates cross-functionally across products and regions to monitor frontline operations and ensure safe business practices. The Head of Risk (Non-Retail) will be responsible for implementing a robust risk management framework focusing on non-retail credit risks, building and leading a team, and defining risk thresholds across multiple features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy a globally scalable risk framework, establish governance, and promote risk awareness company-wide.
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop risk models related to origination, monitoring, provisioning, and collections aimed at improving portfolio returns.
  • Lead a portfolio management team focused on continuous monitoring of receivables and payables finance.
  • Formulate credit policies and procedures tailored to local markets to maximize economic returns.
  • Provide leadership in defining and evolving risk appetite for mid-market, corporate, and enterprise segments.
  • Make critical underwriting decisions on significant exposures and represent first-line risk in relevant committees.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with the second line of defense.
  • Support planning and objective setting in the risk department.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise managing credit risk for mid-market financial products.
  • Experience in building and scaling risk teams aligned with business growth and support needs.
  • Knowledgeable in credit policy governance and effective interaction with second and third lines of defense.
  • Familiarity with risk and fraud detection, monitoring, controls implementation, and testing.
  • Strong strategic planning and dependency management skills capable of exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent communication, able to simplify complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities enabling sound decision-making in complex contexts.
  • Adept at balancing thorough risk assessment with business agility and timely execution.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in trade finance products is advantageous.
