Role overview
Q Securities S.A. is a Polish MiFID investment firm that acts as a depositary for Alternative Investment Funds across multiple European markets. The firm supports a broad mix of fund strategies, including private equity, private debt, real estate, securitization and others. After opening its first overseas branch in Luxembourg in 2021 and a second in Malta in 2023, the company established its Irish branch in 2026 as part of its wider European growth plan.
To support the launch and build-out of the Ireland branch, the company is looking for an experienced senior leader to take ownership of the branch’s risk, compliance and AML/CFT agenda in Dublin.
Location
Dublin, Ireland
Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be accountable for the overall risk, compliance and AML/CFT setup and ongoing operation for the Ireland branch. This person will help strengthen governance, support regulatory readiness and contribute to sustainable branch growth, while keeping local practices aligned with group standards and the expectations of the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Lead the development and ongoing management of the branch risk function.
- Ensure local risk procedures are effective and aligned with head office frameworks.
- Build, implement and maintain the branch compliance monitoring programme.
- Keep compliance policies, procedures and controls up to date and effective.
- Design and deliver employee training that promotes compliance and risk awareness.
- Oversee implementation of AML/CFT obligations across the branch.
- Coordinate KYC review for prospective clients with the onboarding team.
- Take part in depositary and brokerage client onboarding committee processes.
- Work with internal audit and support follow-up actions on identified findings.
- Handle regulatory interactions and prepare required regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with branch leadership, head office teams and the Board on governance, risk and regulatory topics.
Regulatory status and conditions
This position is classified as a Pre-Approval Controlled Function under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regime, covering PCF-12, PCF-14 and PCF-52. The appointment will require prior approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. The hiring process will include due diligence and background screening, and the person appointed must meet, and continue to meet, the applicable Fitness and Probity Standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of regulatory, risk and compliance experience, together with the confidence to work independently in a senior branch leadership role.
- A degree or professional qualification in Compliance, Risk, Law, Business, Economics, Finance or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience in Risk, Compliance and AML/CFT within a regulated financial services organisation, ideally in the investment funds sector.
- Solid understanding of Central Bank of Ireland requirements, supervisory expectations and regulatory approach.
- Previous experience in a PCF position is helpful, though not essential.
- Ability to work autonomously, use good judgement and contribute effectively to branch operations.
Perks and benefits
- Supportive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Stable senior-level opportunity in the Irish branch of a growing European investment firm.
- Chance to shape the branch’s risk, compliance and AML/CFT framework from an early stage.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package.
