Head of Quality Control - HVAC Manufacturing

Overview

A prominent HVAC-R manufacturing company based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia is seeking a senior leader to head their Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) operations at their manufacturing facility. The appointed individual will be responsible for managing the entire Quality Management System, promoting continuous enhancement in manufacturing quality, and ensuring compliance with global standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all QA and QC activities throughout the HVAC-R coil manufacturing plant.
• Maintain and enforce adherence to the Quality Management System, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
• Supervise quality inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process checks, final product inspections, and perform product testing.
• Create and implement quality control plans, standardize inspection techniques, and testing protocols.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement programs.
• Handle customer complaints, manage warranty claims, conduct quality investigations, and ensure effective resolution processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, certifications, and customer quality evaluations.
• Set, track, and analyze quality Key Performance Indicators aimed at lowering defects, waste, rework, and returned products.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and sales departments to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Foster a culture emphasizing quality accountability and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Technical Requirements

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in quality roles specifically within HVAC coil, heat exchanger, or comparable manufacturing sectors.
• At least 5 years in leadership roles managing quality teams within production settings.
• Expertise in HVAC coil manufacturing processes, including evaporator coils, condenser coils, chilled water coils, DX coils, copper tube expansion, fin press operations, brazing, pressure and leak testing.
• Practical knowledge and application of quality and continuous improvement methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, 8D problem solving, CAPA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Track record of enhancing manufacturing quality outcomes and establishing systematic quality processes.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude focused on driving corrective actions and ongoing improvements.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and commercial units.
• Proficient in English communication; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
