Position Overview and Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for Human Resources activities across Germany and Austria providing strategic and operational guidance, leading and mentoring the local HR team.
- Design and execute effective recruitment plans, manage hiring for key roles, and cultivate a robust talent pipeline.
- Supervise payroll processing, benefits management—including health coverage, company vehicles, and pension schemes—and ensure adherence to local tax and social security laws.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance evaluation, development, retention, and separation processes.
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the Executive Management Team and as a trusted consultant to line managers on all workforce-related topics.
- Collaborate closely with Milan Headquarters to align locally developed HR strategies with the group's global policies.
- Maintain constructive engagement with the Works Council to guarantee employee representation and support social partnership efforts.
- Lead the annual performance appraisal and salary adjustment processes and offer salary and retention guidance to Headquarters.
- Handle employee relations including legal employment issues, conflict resolution, and cooperation with Works Council and external bodies.
- Drive organizational development and change management projects, aiding the roll-out of new structures and international HR programs.
- Implement and oversee HRIS systems, conduct HR data analysis and reporting, and deliver HR metrics aiding business decision-making.
- Work alongside the Commercial Director, COO, and the international HR team to shape and execute a progressive People Strategy.
Qualifications and Profile
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- Extensive leadership experience in HR, preferably within international retail, fashion, or luxury industries.
- Demonstrated strengths in talent acquisition, management, performance review, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of German labor law; familiarity with Austrian labor regulations is advantageous.
- Experience in payroll, compensation & benefits, and ensuring HR compliance.
- Proven ability to lead complex HR initiatives and change projects in an international context.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and advisory skills with proven capability to build trust at all levels.
- Strong resilience, strategic mindset, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit paired with a practical, organized, and solution-focused work style.
- Advanced skills in HR information systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Fluent in German and English; Italian language skills are a plus.
