Role Overview
This leadership opportunity is ideal for a seasoned HR professional ready to establish and expand a global people function rapidly. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the successful candidate will craft and implement Elect's comprehensive people strategy, encompassing organizational design, performance culture, learning and development, employee engagement, and HR operations across multiple international locations. They will collaborate closely with senior leaders to develop high-performing teams, mentor managers, standardize people practices globally, and support the opening of new offices during international expansion.
The position is based in London, requiring at least four days a week in the office and international travel approximately twice yearly to each operational region, including Georgia, Cyprus, Australia, Canada, and the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute Elect's global people strategy aligned with business growth plans
- Collaborate with senior management on organizational structure, workforce planning, and team dynamics
- Foster a high-performance culture through clear goal setting, ongoing feedback, and consistent performance reviews
- Coach leaders and enhance leadership capabilities across the company
- Create and implement learning and development initiatives that promote career growth and organizational skills
- Lead and manage the global people function covering talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee experience
- Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and standards across diverse international legal jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices in all markets, consulting local experts as needed
- Optimize HR systems, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Drive employee engagement projects and leverage insights to enhance workplace satisfaction
- Support organizational change management as the business scales internationally
- Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the group involving frequent international travel
Candidate Profile
- At least seven years of experience in HR, People, or Talent leadership roles
- Demonstrable success in creating and guiding People teams in high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of performance management, organizational design, and leadership development
- Experience managing People functions across multiple countries and legal frameworks
- Thorough knowledge of UK employment laws; familiarity with international employment legislation is a strong plus
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with daily operational responsibilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with senior leadership influence
- Commercially minded, linking people strategies with organizational goals
- Track record of enhancing HR processes, systems, and operational efficiencies
- Readiness to undertake frequent international travel
- CIPD qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
