About Karl Kübel Foundation for Child and Family (KKF)
Established in 1994, KKF is a development organization active in India for over three decades. The foundation focuses on enhancing community resilience, family well-being, and child rights through capacity building, partnerships, innovation, and sustainable initiatives. Based near Coimbatore at the KKID Campus, KKF implements training, action research, and knowledge dissemination programs nationwide.
Role Overview
The Head of Partnerships is a critical leadership position within KKF's core team, collaborating closely with the Executive Director. This role is designed for a relationship-oriented leader capable of expanding institutional partnerships with corporates, donors, government agencies, academia, media, and grassroots groups. The position involves both strategic oversight and operational management, demanding strong stakeholder engagement and autonomous leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the Partnerships division in collaboration with other organizational units.
- Build, guide, and mentor high-performance teams fostering a culture aligned with KKF’s mission.
- Steer resource mobilization by cultivating relationships with diverse donor groups.
- Develop and execute strategies for partnerships, outreach, visibility, and impact consistent with KKF’s objectives.
- Manage storytelling, strategic communication efforts, and impact documentation to enhance organizational presence.
- Coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives including Indo-German collaborations and sectoral platforms.
- Design and implement field projects reflecting current social and environmental priorities.
Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience or a graduate degree with over 10 years of pertinent experience.
- At least 5 years’ expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, or fundraising.
- Proven ability to secure funding or consistently meet sales objectives.
- Knowledgeable about evolving social, environmental, and technological trends including digital transformation and AI applications.
- Familiarity with capacity building, social enterprises, or NGOs within India.
- Excellent cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Strong communication, networking, storytelling, branding, and fundraising capabilities.

- Proficiency in Tamil and understanding of South Indian institutional environments is advantageous.
