Head of Operations & Service Delivery

Overview

This role is for a seasoned operations leader to oversee enterprise IT operations and service delivery for an organization based in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on keeping critical technology services reliable, secure, and high-performing while strengthening the way infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support functions operate together.

The right candidate will take ownership of operational strategy, guide multiple technical teams, and work closely with business leaders to improve service quality, resilience, and efficiency across the technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and direct the IT operations and service delivery roadmap so it supports wider business goals.
• Supervise enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, network operations, and cybersecurity activities.
• Apply ITSM and ITIL practices across incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
• Set, track, and improve operational KPIs and SLAs to strengthen end-user support.
• Manage, coach, and develop teams responsible for infrastructure, security, and service delivery.
• Maintain business continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and overall operational resilience.
• Handle key technology vendors and outsourced service partners.
• Build productive working relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization.
• Promote automation, efficiency gains, and ongoing process improvement.

Candidate Profile

This is a senior leadership appointment suited to someone with a strong background in IT operations, enterprise service delivery, and technology team management. The role calls for a proven ability to improve performance in complex environments and deliver dependable services at scale.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in IT operations and service delivery.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing enterprise technology teams.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and IT service management.
• Solid understanding of ITIL and ITSM frameworks; ITIL certification is strongly preferred.
• Background leading large IT operations within complex enterprise settings.
• Strong commercial awareness, financial acumen, and stakeholder and vendor management capability.
• Demonstrated success in improving operational outcomes and building high-performing teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in maritime, oil and gas, logistics, or similar operational technology environments.
• Experience managing outsourced IT services, including SOC providers or managed service vendors.

Work Location

This is an on-site position in the UAE, specifically Abu Dhabi Emirate.
