Job description
Role overview
A major payments company in Doha is looking for a Partnership Manager focused on merchant partnerships and loyalty. This is an 18-month contract role centered on growing the merchant network, shaping attractive card-linked offers, and improving customer engagement across key consumer sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and bring onboard new merchant partners across retail, dining, travel, e-commerce, and lifestyle categories, making sure each partnership supports the card portfolio plan and target customer segments.
- Create, negotiate, and refine merchant-funded promotions, cashback mechanics, and loyalty incentives that increase card usage and deliver measurable spending growth.
- Work closely with product, marketing, digital, risk, and compliance teams to ensure offers are executed smoothly, meet regulatory requirements, and are launched effectively.
- Study market trends to spot new merchant categories, emerging opportunities, and competitor offers in Qatar and the wider GCC, then convert those findings into a well-prioritized partnership pipeline.
- Partner with product, marketing, digital channels, CRM, and compliance stakeholders to manage partnership programs end to end, from offer creation through campaign rollout and post-campaign review.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of experience in partnership management, merchant acquisition, or loyalty program management, ideally within banking, payments, or fintech. A background in banking, cards, or payments is specifically preferred. The role also calls for a strong history of acquiring and managing merchant relationships, along with solid analytical skills to interpret performance data, identify patterns, and turn insights into practical partnership actions.
