About the Role

Loom Talent is exclusively recruiting for a Head of Operations at a distinguished luxury Homewear company located in South West London. This pivotal role encompasses full ownership of operational activities from start to finish, leading warehouse and delivery teams, managing logistics, and ensuring the showroom and customer service uphold the highest standards. It combines hands-on leadership with strategic management to support scaling operational processes as the company expands. Collaboration with international teams to harmonize workflows and boost efficiency will also be a key aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer decisive, practical leadership and mentorship to the London-based Operations team.
  • Manage day-to-day UK operations including warehousing, order fulfilment, showroom logistics, and last-mile deliveries.
  • Plan, oversee, and maximize efficiency of white glove home delivery services across the UK.
  • Ensure accurate warehouse inventory through physical stock tracking, cycle counts, and storage management.
  • Handle inbound shipments, international receipts, and outbound order fulfilment workflows.
  • Coordinate with the Production team to align delivery schedules and inbound stock planning.
  • Carry out product quality inspections upon arrival and address supplier or freight discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, safety protocols, and compliance with UK regulatory standards in warehouse and showroom environments.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to gauge team performance, delivery timelines, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional warehouse and showroom space including display assemblies and facility upkeep.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Global Operations to synchronize timelines, stock management, and enhance service quality.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements and tools to continuously improve operations.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding for warehouse, logistics, and delivery personnel based in the UK.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing strong teams with a hands-on approach.
  • Robust experience in warehouse management and last-mile delivery, preferably with high-value or white glove products.
  • Excellent communication capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Exceptional organization skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within a dynamic and evolving business setting.
  • Physical ability to assist in warehouse tasks and product handling when necessary.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license is preferred.
