Job description
About Event Concept
At Event Concept, we specialize in creating memorable and impactful events that resonate long after they end. We combine the visionary thinking typical of a creative agency with the precision of a production company, ensuring bold and imaginative experiences come to life. Our culture is collaborative, grounded, and committed to high-quality outcomes, while maintaining a lighthearted and enjoyable atmosphere. If you are curious, adaptable, and eager to contribute meaningfully with a supportive team, we invite you to explore this opportunity.
Role Overview
The Head of Creative Services leads the creative services team from an operational standpoint. You will be in charge of defining workflows across creative, design, and content functions to ensure clarity, efficiency, and control. Partnering closely with the Studio Manager, you will deploy and maintain resource planning, workflow management, and performance oversight.
This role serves as a pivotal link among project teams, creative leadership, and content departments, ensuring prioritization and decisions are clear and that the team is empowered for success. You will collaborate with the Executive Creative Director, Design Director, and Head of Content to balance creative ambition with practical delivery, facilitating alignment in workload and resources.
This is distinctly an operational leadership role rather than a creative one: you will not direct creative outputs or set design standards. Instead, you provide the infrastructure, systems, and clarity that enable creative excellence, driving the operational engine behind the studio's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage end-to-end workflows for creative, design, and content teams ensuring streamlined briefing, prioritization, delivery, and handovers.
- Oversee resource strategy including allocation, scheduling, and capacity planning across projects and demands, working through the Studio Manager for execution.
- Manage prioritization decisions and resolve escalations or conflicts to maintain smooth operations.
- Lead and develop the Creative Services function by establishing consistency, accountability, and clarity in operational practices.
- Directly manage the Studio Manager and selected creative team members, supporting their growth and performance.
- Collaborate with People Team on hiring and onboarding processes to foster team expansion.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Creative, Content, Production, and Account Management teams to ensure alignment.
- Support financial oversight with the Executive Creative Director and Finance team, monitoring budgets, tracking performance, and managing KPIs related to utilization, efficiency, and delivery.
- Lead the integration and governance of operational tools, systems, and AI technologies to enhance workflows and creative processes appropriately and responsibly.
- Act as a central liaison ensuring timely involvement of creative leadership in projects, balancing vision with operational delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in creative operations, studio leadership, or resource management within agencies, creative environments, or production companies.
- Deep understanding of how creative, design, and content teams function and the factors that contribute to high-quality outputs.
- Highly organized with excellent skills in managing complex workflows and priorities.
- Proficient in decision-making regarding resource allocation and prioritization, demonstrating confidence while leading through others.
- Strong communication skills capable of aligning diverse stakeholders and clarifying ambiguous situations.
- Commercially savvy with knowledge of utilization metrics, performance tracking, and budget management.
- Ability to stay calm and maintain control in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment.
- Preferred experience includes roles such as Creative Services Manager, Creative Operations Manager, or Studio Lead, as well as familiarity with resource planning and workflow tools.
- Experience in live events, brand experiences, or creative production is advantageous.
Working Environment and Culture
Event Concept fosters a team-oriented culture where creativity meets attention to detail and mutual support. The company offers hybrid working options, generous leave, wellbeing initiatives, and values authentic voices and growth opportunities for all employees.
Hiring Process
- Initial brief video call to connect and understand your background.
- A practical task or survey to assess work style and approach.
- In-person interview with prospective team members.
- Culture fit discussion to ensure mutual alignment.
Additional Information
