Overview
This vacancy is on behalf of one of Weekday's clients. The position offers a salary range from INR 1,200,000 to INR 2,000,000 annually and is based in the Delhi NCR region, including Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring over eight years of relevant experience.
Role Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Head of Operations to oversee the comprehensive management and delivery of large-scale MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), corporate events, and experiential marketing projects. This senior leadership role is accountable for directing operations, production, and client servicing teams to ensure flawless execution, superior client satisfaction, and strong financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution phases of corporate gatherings, conferences, exhibitions, brand activations, and MICE programs.
- Supervise production elements like fabrication, staging, audiovisual setup, technical production, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), project schedules, and quality control mechanisms.
- Manage project budgets, operational costs, and profitability metrics while maintaining high delivery standards.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with vendors, suppliers, production collaborators, and logistics services to ensure dependable delivery and cost efficiency.
- Identify potential project risks and deploy proactive solutions to guarantee smooth event execution.
- Act as the principal liaison for key clients, uphold robust client relationships, and assure superior customer satisfaction.
- Convert client requirements into actionable execution plans in partnership with creative, production, and operational teams.
- Assist business development by contributing to proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Handle client escalations promptly, ensuring operational challenges are resolved throughout project lifecycles.
- Champion client retention by consistently delivering exceptional service and successful outcomes.
- Lead and manage the execution of international and domestic meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events.
- Organize travel logistics, venue management, delegate support, hospitality, accommodation, transportation, and general event operations.
- Coordinate with destination management companies (DMCs), hotels, airlines, venues, and external partners for seamless event delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams across operations, production, and client servicing domains.
- Efficiently allocate resources across multiple projects ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Initiate and drive process improvements to increase scalability, efficiency, and service quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15+ years of professional experience in MICE, events, experiential marketing, or event management sectors.
- Proven leadership experience managing operations, production, or client servicing functions for large-scale corporate events and experiential projects.
- Expertise in project planning, event production, logistics, budgeting, and operational execution.
- Track record of managing project profit and loss, budgeting, vendor negotiations, and optimizing costs.
- Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills with stakeholders.
- Experienced in leading cross-functional teams in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
- Readiness to travel frequently and provide onsite leadership during events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating both domestic and international MICE events.
- Well-established network with vendors, venues, hospitality partners, and production agencies.
- Background in event management, experiential marketing, exhibitions, conferences, or corporate event orchestration.
- MBA or specialized certificates in Event Management or Hospitality are advantages.
