Head of Operations and Supply Chain

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Head of Operations & Supply Chain to lead the U.S. operations of a prestigious luxury retailer based in New York City. This leadership position offers a direct report to the executive team and the chance to design scalable operational processes to support substantial retail expansion across boutiques, wholesale, and eCommerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the entire U.S. operations encompassing supply chain, logistics, inventory management, customer service, and order fulfillment.
• Devise inventory management strategies catering to retail outlets, wholesale partners, and eCommerce platforms.
• Handle forecasting, stock replenishment, inventory planning, and product distribution.
• Supervise warehouse functions, transportation logistics, distribution channels, and third-party logistics (3PL) collaborations.
• Maintain compliance with import/export regulations, manage customs documentation, and coordinate with customs brokers.
• Lead customer support and order processing for wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales.
• Manage repair services and after-sales operations to uphold a superior luxury customer experience.
• Facilitate inventory preparation for boutique launches, product rollouts, VIP events, and special projects.
• Establish key performance indicators, enhance operational efficiencies, and implement scalable systems supporting ongoing growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of eight operations professionals while collaborating closely with global leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of five years in leadership roles within operations, supply chain, logistics, inventory, distribution, or fulfillment.
• Preferred experience in luxury retail sectors including fashion, jewelry, watches, beauty, cosmetics, accessories, footwear, apparel, handbags, or premium consumer goods.
• Proven expertise managing inventory across retail, wholesale, and eCommerce channels.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation, customs processes, imports/exports, and third-party logistics management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CEGID or M3 software is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
