Head of Operations and Supply Chain

Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Operations & Supply Chain to join a renowned luxury retailer in New York City. This pivotal leadership role, reporting to executive management, offers the chance to guide U.S. operations and shape scalable processes to foster rapid growth across retail boutiques, wholesale distribution, and eCommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of U.S. operations, encompassing the supply chain, logistics, inventory control, customer service, and order fulfillment.
• Formulate and implement inventory strategies catering to retail stores, wholesale clients, and online commerce.
• Handle forecasting, replenishment, inventory planning, and product allocation efficiently.
• Supervise warehouse management, transportation, distribution channels, and third-party logistics partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including customs documentation and brokerage coordination.
• Lead customer service and order processing for both wholesale and direct consumer sales.
• Manage after-sales services such as repairs, upholding an exceptional luxury experience.
• Support inventory initiatives related to boutique openings, new product launches, VIP events, and special projects.
• Develop key performance indicators, enhance operational efficiency, and introduce scalable procedures to support sustained growth.
• Lead and mentor a team of eight operations professionals and collaborate closely with global leadership teams.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in leadership roles within operations, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, distribution, or fulfillment.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in luxury retail sectors such as fashion, jewelry, watches, beauty, cosmetics, accessories, footwear, apparel, handbags, or premium consumer goods.
• Proven expertise in managing inventory across retail, wholesale, and eCommerce platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation logistics, customs procedures, imports/exports, and third-party logistics management.
• Experience in leading and nurturing high-performance teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with CEGID or M3 systems is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $160,000 to $185,000 per year, with additional bonus potential.
