About Clark

Clark is pioneering the trust infrastructure essential for the AI-driven economy, initially focusing on audit and accounting processes. Operating in an environment where reliability, accuracy, and security are as crucial as efficiency, Clark provides an advanced platform that automates complex workflows, safely integrates AI, and revolutionizes audit team operations. The company is establishing itself as a leader in the convergence of AI, auditing, and enterprise trust.

Role Overview

Clark seeks a Head of Marketing to spearhead building the company's demand generation engine, shape the category narrative, and expand brand recognition. This leadership position demands ownership of foundational marketing areas such as market positioning, content development, demand generation, event management, customer storytelling, and sales enablement. The role is highly hands-on, requiring strategic planning, content creation, campaign launches, sales collaboration, and building the marketing function from the ground up.

Significance of This Role

As Clark is defining a new market category within a trust-sensitive and relationship-oriented industry, this role is critical. Marketing must not only clarify what Clark offers but also educate customers on the safety and value of AI-based audit workflows, enhancing credibility, stimulating market demand, and bolstering sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Clark's positioning, messaging, and narrative to define the category
  • Develop educational content targeting accounting firms about AI-aided audit transformations
  • Collaborate closely with Sales on campaign design, outbound communication, and sales support materials
  • Create compelling customer stories, case studies, and evidence of success
  • Administer events such as conferences, webinars, and other field marketing efforts
  • Design campaigns for audit partners, managing partners, innovation officers, and firm executives
  • Oversee the website, content management, email marketing, and overall marketing operations
  • Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and their contribution to the sales pipeline
  • Recruit and develop the marketing team as the function grows

Candidate Profile

  • Over five years of experience in marketing roles
  • Proven ability in demand generation and content strategy development
  • Exceptional skills in writing and messaging formulation
  • Experienced in marketing to executives and professional services clientele
  • Adept at translating complex technical products into straightforward, compelling narratives
  • Strong sense of ownership and readiness to directly execute tasks
  • Comfortable with establishing marketing functions from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in vertical SaaS, fintech, accounting, compliance, legal tech, or AI domains
  • Experience marketing to professional services firms
  • Familiarity with founder-led or early-stage company marketing
  • Expertise in constructing category narratives
  • Experience managing events and field marketing campaigns

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package including salary and equity
  • Healthcare benefits covering medical, dental, and vision
  • Retirement plan with 401(k) options
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Daily company-sponsored meals
  • Relocation assistance and bonuses for candidates moving to New York
  • First month housing provision for relocating employees
  • Company-provided equipment and work tools
  • An opportunity to work on-site with a highly skilled team focused on building category-leading AI infrastructure in audit and accounting
