About the Venue

Blue Note London is a flagship new addition to the worldwide Blue Note Entertainment Group, bringing the brand’s long-established live music reputation to London’s West End. Set to open this autumn, the venue is designed as an intimate space for performances spanning legendary performers, emerging artists, jazz lovers, and wider music audiences.

Role Overview

Blue Note London is looking for a seasoned, practical Head of Marketing who can both shape the venue’s marketing direction and personally deliver the work. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution across digital, social, content, and campaign activity. It is best suited to someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about live music, understands the London market well, and is comfortable balancing planning with implementation.

Key Duties

The role covers the full marketing function for the venue, including strategy, campaign delivery, brand development, content, event promotion, community outreach, analytics, and collaboration with internal teams.

  • Build and implement marketing plans tailored to the London audience for concerts, special events, and overall venue promotion.
  • Ensure all marketing activity supports the wider vision and goals of Blue Note.
  • Design and run integrated campaigns across digital, social media, email, and offline channels.
  • Improve campaign performance to increase ticket sales, brand engagement, and overall return on investment.
  • Run social media activity across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content such as graphics, short-form video, and live updates from events.
  • Monitor audience response and platform trends to keep content and channel strategy effective.
  • Protect and strengthen Blue Note London’s position as a leading cultural and entertainment destination.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints in partnership with designers and content teams.
  • Oversee the creation of rich media assets including artist features, promotional videos, and venue storytelling pieces.
  • Keep the website and social channels fresh, active, and up to date.
  • Work with artists, agents, and publicists to expand promotion through digital and email channels.
  • Deliver targeted promotional activity to drive attendance and ticket revenue.
  • Provide live event coverage to boost engagement and capture the atmosphere of the venue.
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, press, cultural groups, and influencers to extend Blue Note’s reach in London.
  • Explore sponsorships and collaboration opportunities aligned with the venue’s mission.
  • Measure marketing results and report key performance data to senior leadership.
  • Use insights from data to adjust tactics and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Partner with the box office, booking, and operations teams to ensure promotions are aligned and executed smoothly.
  • Coordinate across departments so marketing supports the wider venue strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a similar discipline; a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of marketing experience with strength in both strategic planning and practical delivery.
  • Proven success marketing live music events or similar entertainment-led experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of the London market, including its media environment and audience characteristics.
  • Solid expertise in digital marketing, social platforms, analytics, and email marketing tools.
  • Excellent copywriting, content production, and storytelling skills across multiple formats.
  • Strong communication ability and confidence managing external stakeholders such as agents, publicists, and partners.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to work independently in a lean team setup.
  • Real enthusiasm for live music, culture, and memorable audience experiences.
  • Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving, high-energy environment.

Compensation and Benefits

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, aligned to experience. The role also provides the chance to work at one of London’s leading live music venues in a lively cultural environment.
