Role Overview

Located in Georgetown, ON, the Head of Logistics position is a full-time, on-site leadership role. The primary responsibility is to oversee comprehensive logistics operations spanning transportation, warehousing, equipment, and storage sectors within KUTHALA GROUP. Key duties involve planning and optimizing fleet usage, coordinating freight movement, and delivering goods efficiently and cost-effectively. The role includes managing warehouse inventory systems, ensuring customer requirement alignment, and enhancing storage and handling procedures across diverse locations.

The individual will lead and develop logistics teams, establish performance benchmarks, apply best practices, and uphold strict safety, regulatory, and company standards. Collaboration with procurement, finance, and commercial departments is essential to advance supply chain efficiency, manage vendor interactions, and back strategic expansion efforts.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Logistics Management focusing on transport planning, fleet utilization, and route optimization.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Management to integrate cross-functional activities, manage vendor relationships, and oversee materials flow.
• Skills in Inventory Management to sustain accurate stock control, cost management, and support forecasting demand.
• Experience in Warehouse Operations for effective storage, handling, and throughput management across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of Procurement practices to assist sourcing, supplier negotiation, and logistics contracting.
• Proven track record in a senior logistics or supply chain leadership role within transportation, warehousing, or related sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, alongside expertise in logistics and ERP software.
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, capable of managing diverse teams and fostering continuous improvement.
• Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or allied disciplines; certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated adherence to safety, compliance, and service excellence in dynamic operational settings.
