About the Role
Our client is a well-established leading manufacturer in the construction industry, recognised globally for exceptional scale and quality. After a period of growth and significant digital infrastructure investment, they seek a Head of IT and Digital Transformation to lead the next phase of their technological advancement.
This senior, high-profile position reports to the Commercial Director and regularly interfaces with the CEO. The role suits a proactive digital transformation leader capable of both strategic board-level planning and detailed hands-on management of infrastructure, systems integration, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a multi-year digital transformation strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Finalize the transition from legacy on-premise servers to a modern cloud-based infrastructure.
- Oversee network security, connectivity, and infrastructure enhancements across several sites.
- Enable integration of core IT platforms with production and manufacturing operations.
- Develop a robust data and analytics framework to facilitate adoption of AI technologies.
- Promote business process improvements and automation across corporate departments.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners effectively.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management, delivering recommendations and building business cases.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, digital transformation, business systems, or technology project management.
- Proven expertise in leading technology upgrades over multiple sites, including cloud migration and network/security improvements.
- Experience linking IT systems with operational or manufacturing environments in sectors such as construction, engineering, or manufacturing is a notable plus.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, commercial insight, and business case development.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in interactions at senior leadership levels.
