Role Overview
As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will spearhead continuous improvement efforts across various business units by employing Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR), and Change Management techniques. The position includes leading cross-departmental projects aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive ongoing enhancement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma, BPR, and Change Management frameworks.
- Oversee cross-functional projects targeting improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Analyze current warehouse and supply chain operations to spot opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
- Facilitate redesign of business processes, optimize workflows, and improve job roles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate automation, digital tools, and technology-led process enhancements.
- Prepare business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and track project progress against schedules and budgets.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Lean Six Sigma practitioners, promoting a continuous improvement culture.
- Support and uphold ISO management systems compliance, aligning with relevant certification requirements.
- Monitor the success of projects and set performance metrics to sustain ongoing improvements.
- Partner with internal teams to implement operational excellence and long-term transformation programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Business Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Business Process Improvement.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with proven track record in process improvement project delivery.
- Strong expertise in Business Process Re-Engineering and Change Management methodologies.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of ISO standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and their certification processes.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, manufacturing, or similar operational sectors preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication capabilities.
- Proven leadership ability in managing cross-functional teams and driving organisational change.
