Position Overview

The Head of Investor Relations will lead Meta's engagement with investors and analysts, guiding the company's financial narrative externally. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role acts as a key advisor to executive leadership, articulating corporate strategy, performance, and long-term value to the investment community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Meta's investor relations strategies for consistent and meaningful communication with analysts and investors.
  • Shape and evolve the company’s investment narrative and value proposition.
  • Advise senior leadership on market sentiment, shareholder expectations, and investor feedback.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with institutional investors and market analysts.
  • Lead preparation for quarterly earnings, including developing presentation materials, scripts, and coordinating Q&A documents.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and other finance teams to accurately convey financial results and guidance.
  • Organize earnings calls, investor meetings, conferences, and analyst outreach.
  • Create messaging regarding strategic priorities, operational performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor analyst models, research publications, shareholder trends, valuation changes, and overall market conditions.
  • Analyze competitors, industry updates, and investor perceptions to inform communication strategy.
  • Offer guidance to executives on external messaging and investor engagement activities.
  • Lead a focused, high-performing investor relations team to ensure consistent achievement of objectives.
  • Drive adoption of AI-driven tools, including an innovative Investor Relations assistant, to enhance insight generation, productivity, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of public company financial reporting, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and strategic information into clear, compelling insights for management and investors.
  • Proven experience presenting to senior executives and engaging directly with investors and sell-side analysts.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills suitable for executive-level interaction.
  • Prior leadership in investor relations within a major public technology organization.
  • Familiarity with business models related to internet, AI, cloud computing, infrastructure, software, and platform companies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in investor relations at a rapidly growing, consumer-focused public technology company.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $288,000 to $332,000 per year, supplemented by bonus opportunities, equity awards, and benefits. Compensation is based on candidate skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Meta also offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting employee well-being.
