The role involves managing insurance coverage across business and project needs, strengthening claims recovery, supporting enterprise risk management, ensuring compliance across regional markets, and leading relationships with external insurance partners. It also requires close coordination with leadership on budgets, governance, and strategic risk decisions.
Key Responsibilities

- Direct claims handling and recovery efforts to improve settlements and reduce financial exposure, with regular updates to senior leadership.
- Embed insurance considerations into the wider enterprise risk management framework, including risk registers, mitigation plans, and board reporting.
- Maintain strong governance and compliance practices across KSA, UAE, and GCC markets through effective controls and regulatory adherence.
- Oversee engagement with brokers, insurers, and reinsurers, including negotiations and partner selection based on strategic and technical fit.
- Control insurance budgets, manage premium spend efficiently, and create value through cost savings while preserving coverage quality.
- Monitor emerging risks such as cyber, climate, and supply chain exposure, and encourage the use of digital tools and analytics for better risk insight.
- Lead and develop a high-performing insurance team covering project insurance, corporate insurance, claims, and analytics functions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of senior-level experience in insurance and risk management within the corporate environment. Exposure to GCC countries will be an added advantage.
