Role Overview
In the position of Head of Installation, Commissioning & Warranty (ICW), you will oversee a global team dedicated to ICW activities worldwide. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Project Management, your primary responsibility will be to lead organizational transformation and standardize ICW procedures from project handover through commissioning to warranty completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide both direct and functional leadership across global ICW teams, encompassing around 40 personnel plus additional resources.
- Establish governance frameworks, unified operating standards, and clear priorities across all ICW units worldwide.
- Ensure superior performance in installation, commissioning, and warranty phases, meeting contractual, technical, and commercial obligations.
- Direct sales and execution support functions globally, including bid preparation with cost estimation, execution plan development, scheduling, resource distribution, and managing risks and opportunities.
- Create and roll out a standardized global ICW operating model with defined processes, tools, KPIs, and reporting systems.
- Manage planning of global field services and commissioning teams, focusing on capacity and skill development.
- Serve as a senior escalation contact for clients and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives including lessons learned and corrective actions.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related disciplines.
- More than 10 years of extensive experience in installation & commissioning, warranty services or project execution.
- Proven leadership in complex global, regional, and matrix organizational structures.
- Strong technical expertise in rotating equipment and associated systems.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial, contractual, and project execution processes.
- Excellent communication, client focus, and stakeholder management skills within a global context.
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages advantageous. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.
