Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Human Resources to lead all human capital initiatives across The Swank Company, along with its additional brands, Posh Tots and Escape Outdoors. This full-time, on-site position located in Augusta, GA will direct HR strategies focusing on workforce planning, recruitment, employee onboarding, and retention across both retail outlets and e-commerce operations. This leader will develop and revise HR policies ensuring compliance with current labor laws and alignment with the company’s cultural values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide leadership on HR-related matters and advise on employee relations.
  • Oversee performance management, disciplinary actions, and promote a positive workplace environment.
  • Coordinate employee training and professional development initiatives.
  • Support compensation and benefits programs aligned with company goals.
  • Drive a culture of inclusion and high employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading HR operations in retail or customer-centered businesses.
  • Comprehensive understanding of labor and employment laws and designing practical HR policies ensuring compliance.
  • Proven skills managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Talent acquisition expertise, onboarding experience, and ability to handle staffing for multiple locations.
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal abilities to foster trust across teams.
  • Comfort working on-site in a dynamic retail setting collaborating with store managers and executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar; HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) mandatory.
  • Master’s degree and advanced HR certifications are preferred.
