Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Head of HR to join our Senior Leadership team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This pivotal role involves overseeing the complete HR lifecycle, collaborating with Regional Managers and Central Functions to cultivate a positive work environment, foster employee development, and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement HR strategies aligned with company culture and growth plans alongside senior leadership.
  • Support leadership and employees in their career progression to enhance organizational success.
  • Promote a professional and caring organizational culture that prioritizes service quality and innovation.
  • Establish high standards in HR practices, including robust people management policies and systems.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior managers on employee relations, employment laws, and performance management.
  • Lead Talent Acquisition initiatives including strategy creation, branding, recruitment policies, and succession planning.
  • Manage and constantly evaluate the HR management system for optimal performance.
  • Ensure all employee documentation and policies comply with GDPR and relevant employment legislation.
  • Collaborate with training teams to enhance comprehensive employee induction programs.
  • Drive Talent Development and Retention by supporting Regional Managers in managing, appraising, and retaining their teams.
  • Manage employee relations, offering guidance to resolve HR issues in alignment with company values.
  • Champion a positive employee relations culture to strengthen the employer brand.
  • Administer Talent Management, People Development, and Performance Management initiatives.
  • Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) frameworks to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Work with National Operational and Development teams to boost HR efficiency and best practices.
  • Oversee third-party recruitment partnerships ensuring alignment and value maximization.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and develop retention plans supervised by senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate systems for employee leave management and advise Regional Managers on leave policies and approvals.
  • Implement additional HR projects focused on employee wellbeing, learning, health, and safety.
  • Provide regular HR performance reports, including weekly/monthly regional updates on recruitment, retention, attrition, probation, and employee engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years managing HR functions, including leadership of a HR team.
  • Proven experience in influencing senior stakeholders and managing organizational HR strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HR Information Systems (HRIS), and data analysis.
  • Degree qualification, preferably in human resources or a business-related discipline.
  • Must hold CIPD certification.
