Role overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a growth-focused sales leader based in Germany. The position sits within a global, high-performing sales environment in the fintech space and combines strategic ownership with active deal involvement. You will shape and deliver the growth plan for a mature market, guide a team of Account Executives, and help drive reliable revenue expansion, stronger pipeline quality, and better conversion rates.

The role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships so that commercial initiatives support wider business goals. Success in this position depends on building trust, creating accountability, and lifting team performance in a fast-moving, remote-first, mission-led setting.

Key accountabilities

  • Take ownership of the growth plan for an established market, ensuring the Account Executive team consistently meets revenue goals and improves sales effectiveness.
  • Lead, grow, and coach a strong sales team while also contributing directly to strategic, high-value opportunities.
  • Design and implement sales approaches that support long-term revenue expansion in a competitive fintech and payments landscape.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospects and important stakeholders to improve deal momentum and conversion outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to align go-to-market activity and broader growth programs.
  • Create a culture of accountability, pace, and high standards across the sales organization while upholding strong integrity.
  • Support team development by identifying strengths, coaching effectively, and helping individuals progress in their careers.
  • Monitor pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and deal execution to support dependable revenue delivery.
  • Handle complex negotiations and assist in closing major enterprise agreements.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, including 3 or more years leading Account Executive teams.
  • Prior exposure to fintech, payments, SaaS, or other complex B2B environments is preferred.
  • A strong record of building and executing growth strategies that produce measurable revenue results.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and scale high-performing commercial teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all seniority levels.
  • Hands-on experience negotiating complex enterprise deals and working with legal and procurement stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical ability to manage pipeline health, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Clear communication style and strong executive presence with the ability to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first, global setting.
