Job description
About the Role
As the Head of Growth and Operations at Abundio Energy Inc, you will be responsible for driving both the expansion and the effective execution of our business initiatives. In this pivotal position, you'll design and implement strategies to boost sales through partnerships and direct client acquisition, particularly in the solar energy industry. Simultaneously, you'll oversee the end-to-end operations process, ensuring that each contracted project is delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget, by harmonizing efforts between Sales, Engineering, Construction, and Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, working with aggregators such as construction firms, architects, and real estate developers to promote our solar solutions as the preferred option for their clients.
- Lead efforts to attract and close deals with key commercial and industrial customers, overseeing the entire sales funnel from initial lead generation to contract signing.
- Manage the seamless transition of projects from contract signing to active implementation by coordinating with engineering and construction teams to break down project scopes into actionable steps and scheduling key operational activities.
- Supervise the supply chain to align procurement with sales forecasts, ensuring inventory levels optimize both availability and capital usage.
- Serve as the primary feedback channel, relaying insights from the field to the engineering team to enhance product offerings, and continuously monitor project profitability to support sustainable business growth.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Relevant experience in launching and leading initiatives, especially in project management, business development, and sales operations, is essential.
- Competence in interpreting and communicating technical aspects of solar systems (such as kWp, battery metrics, and load profiles) to a diverse audience, including non-technical clients.
- Professional command of English is mandatory; fluency in Kinyarwanda is preferred, and knowledge of French is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel is necessary.

- Ability to build and nurture partnerships
- Strong organizational and orchestration skills

Performance Indicators
- Growth in total kWp sold through direct and partner channels

- Performance incentive in 2026 worth up to 15% of the base salary
- Opportunity for discretionary quarterly team bonuses linked to business milestones
