Job description
Overview
An established Australian entertainment business is looking for an experienced compliance leader to take ownership of its group-wide compliance capability. This is a permanent executive role based in Sydney CBD with flexibility to work from home. The position sits within a large, complex, highly regulated environment and offers the chance to influence business-wide standards, risk awareness, and governance practices.
The salary is approximately $260,000 package, the intended start is as soon as possible, and the interview process is expected to involve two rounds.
What you will do
- Direct the group compliance function and manage a team of five direct reports.
- Oversee organisation-wide regulatory compliance, obligation tracking, and policy governance.
- Work alongside executive leaders, senior managers, and key stakeholders to strengthen compliance ownership across the business.
- Advise the Group Leadership Team on strategic matters and help guide decisions.
- Improve compliance frameworks, governance routines, and regulatory processes on an ongoing basis.
- Coach, support, and develop the compliance team while encouraging strong engagement across the organisation.
What the role requires
- Proven background leading compliance operations in a large, complex, and heavily regulated organisation.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, governance, policy administration, and enterprise obligation management.
- Strong people leadership experience, including developing and guiding high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and operational leaders.
- A practical, hands-on leadership approach and the willingness to get involved directly to deliver results.
- Curiosity, commercial awareness, and strong relationship-building ability that earns trust at all levels of the business.
