Role Summary

As part of its ongoing global growth, the company is seeking an experienced leader to strategically advance the procurement function, consolidate international sourcing activities, and significantly enhance the organization's competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement international procurement and category strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead complex contract and price negotiations with both domestic and global suppliers.
• Oversee strategic sourcing projects and provide procurement support for investment initiatives.
• Establish and nurture enduring supplier relationships while exploring new sourcing markets.
• Collaborate closely with departments such as Development and Production to optimize costs, quality, and supply reliability.
• Lead, inspire, and develop the procurement team to achieve strategic objectives.
• Identify and realize cost saving and efficiency opportunities throughout the value chain.
• Refine procurement processes, metrics, and standards to ensure a sustainable sourcing strategy.

Candidate Profile

• Entrepreneurial leadership style with a passion for strategic procurement in an international industrial and matrix organization.
• Enjoys crafting complex sourcing strategies, driving change processes, and delivering sustainable outcomes with the team.
• Preferably holds a university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in strategic procurement within a global industrial enterprise.
• Proven background in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Global Procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills and expertise in building long-term supplier partnerships.
• Technical understanding and enthusiasm for cross-department collaboration including development and production.
• Analytical mindset, entrepreneurial approach, with structured and solution-oriented working methods.
• Fluent in German and English, with willingness to travel internationally.
