Job description
Role Overview
Cenomi Centers is looking for a senior finance leader to own the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of its financial reporting function. The role focuses on maintaining strong reporting controls, meeting local and international accounting requirements, and delivering reliable financial information that supports business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain accounting and reporting policies, procedures, and controls in line with relevant international and local standards, including GAAP, IAS, and SOCPA.
- Oversee the prompt and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including ledger and account consolidation.
- Direct reconciliation work across corporate, regional, property, and project-level accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements for Cenomi Centers and, where needed, its legal entities, subsidiaries, affiliates, and joint ventures.
- Approve and supervise the preparation of all periodic financial reports.
- Examine project accounting statements, related reporting, and transactions.
- Assess cost forecasts and timeline updates when cost structures change.
- Coordinate and oversee ERP accounting systems in partnership with the IT team.
- Support external auditors by resolving queries quickly and providing the required documentation and explanations.
- Work with external auditors to ensure external audits run smoothly and comply with statutory and accounting requirements.
- Prepare or support ad hoc analysis, including financial reviews and cash flow forecasts for departments and subsidiaries.
- Provide information requested by external authorities, such as the Labour Ministry and visa authorities, to satisfy statutory obligations related to pension and social security matters.
- Assist the Zakat team with matters connected to Zakat and VAT.
- Review fair value assessments for investment properties, ensuring assumptions around macroeconomic factors, occupancy, and costs remain aligned with prior valuations, management assumptions, and approved feasibility studies.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
- A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA, CA, or ACCA; a master’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial and management accounting, including 2 to 3 years in a management position.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for listed companies, including CMA rules and accounting standards such as SOCPA, IFRS, GAAP, and IAS.
- Prior experience in real estate or a similar industry is preferred.
- Background in complex group-wide accounting and reporting, ideally in a publicly listed company.
- Ability to apply international accounting standards and work with ERP systems.
