Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this senior leadership role involves transforming the organization's financial planning capabilities, steering commercial performance analysis, and supporting strategic decisions at Board and Executive Committee levels. This position surpasses traditional FP&A responsibilities by serving as a trusted business advisor and championing the evolution of financial planning functions during growth phases.
Key Duties

- Ensure timely delivery of monthly Executive and Board reporting, providing incisive analysis and actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior leaders to influence strategic and operational decision-making.
- Create advanced financial models, conduct scenario analyses, and perform investment appraisals to back strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and business transformations.
- Enhance performance management by developing relevant KPIs, dashboards, and management information systems.
- Challenge commercial assumptions and identify areas for increased profitability, efficiency, and capital use.
- Lead the group’s revenue, cost, cash flow, liquidity, and headcount forecasting with strong financial governance.
- Oversee enhancements to planning systems, reporting tools, and data analytics to support organizational decisions.
- Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing FP&A team focused on continuous improvement and commercial excellence.
- Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Operations teams to align financial plans with broader business goals.
Candidate Profile
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or recognised equivalent.
- Extensive leadership experience in FP&A within financial services sectors including banking, asset management, or wealth management.
- Demonstrated expertise in working alongside Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial insight with the capacity to convert financial data into business strategies.
- Advanced skills in financial modelling, forecasting, and corporate planning.
- Experience leading and growing effective finance teams.
- Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder management skills, confident in influencing senior executives.
Why Consider This Role?
- Lead and influence the FP&A function within an expanding financial services organisation.
- Engage prominently with Executive Committee and Board members.
- Play a strategic role with substantive influence over company direction and investment choices.
- Work within a collaborative, ambitious leadership group aiming for significant growth.
- Excellent opportunities for career progression towards broader Finance Director or CFO roles.
