Role Overview
Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Financial Accounting to join their Finance Team. This pivotal role requires a CCAB qualified accountant with strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in accounting standards, able to apply these within a complex operational context and suggest process, systems, and reporting enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
The position demands effective prioritization of assignments within a demanding environment, expert financial accounting knowledge, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while working independently. Leadership experience in managing and developing staff is essential. This role involves leading month-end and year-end financial activities across the Trust, supporting the delivery of financial services and accounting functions.
