Job description

Role Overview

As an accountable registered nurse, you will prioritize patient welfare by making informed and responsible decisions. You will be tasked with assessing patients, devising and delivering comprehensive care plans, and continually reviewing the quality of care provided. Additionally, you will act as an educator and mentor, fostering the growth and learning of your colleagues, while embodying leadership attributes such as transparency, integrity, and trustworthiness. Adherence to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and the Trust's core values is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, personalised nursing care reflecting your qualifications and experience, involving families or carers as needed.
  • Oversee nursing care for an assigned patient group, ensuring treatments and services are evidence-based and patient-focused.
  • Assist with managing nursing operations within your clinical area, including supervising junior nursing staff and trainees.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives aiming to achieve excellence, including mentoring junior staff.
