Role Overview
Based in Sydney, this hybrid full-time position as Head of Finance & Operations encompasses overseeing all aspects of financial management and operational functions. Key duties involve preparation and oversight of financial statements, cash flow management, and directing budgeting and forecasting activities. The incumbent will ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. Leadership responsibilities include managing the finance and operations team and offering strategic financial insights to senior leadership to support scalable business growth aligned with ReadiNow’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive financial reporting cycles, budgeting, and forecast planning.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to maintain financial health.
- Supervise cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational sustainability.
- Enhance operational processes by collaborating across departments to optimize efficiency.
- Implement and uphold internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Lead and develop finance and operations personnel for peak performance.
- Provide strategic guidance and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Solid expertise in finance, accounting principles, and financial statement preparation.
- Proven proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and managing related cycles.
- Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and scenario modeling.
- Experience with operational management, process improvement, and internal control implementation.
- Background in SaaS, enterprise software, or tech-driven enterprises is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA are beneficial.
