About the Role
An established and well-respected organisation located in South County Dublin is seeking a Head of Finance to lead and manage their finance function. This role offers a stable and collaborative work environment focused on purpose and growth. The successful candidate will report directly to senior leadership and be accountable for comprehensive financial management and reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and governance standards are maintained.
- Lead the year-end audit and coordinate directly with external auditors.
- Provide financial insights and analyses to support organisational decision-making.
- Supervise and manage one direct report responsible for accounts payable and billing.
- Deliver hands-on operational finance support when necessary.
- Manage relationships with external financial providers and consultants.
- Collaborate with an external HR consultant to support HR administration tasks.
- Contribute to strategic planning and support organisational development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holds a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
- Possesses at least eight years of post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrates prior experience in a leadership role within finance.
- Strong skills in financial reporting and management accounting.
- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experienced in managing audits and external stakeholder relationships.
- Adopts a practical, collaborative working style.
- Excellent communication abilities and relationship management skills.
- Capable of effectively operating in a smaller organisational setting.
- Willingness to actively support daily finance operations as needed.
