Role Overview

The Head of Finance is a full-time role based in the London Area, involving a hybrid working model with some flexibility for remote work. This leadership position manages all financial aspects including planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to guide strategic business choices. Daily responsibilities comprise preparing and validating financial reports, controlling cash flow, tracking key performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

The person in this role will establish and uphold financial controls, oversee forecasting efforts, and collaborate closely with senior leadership to optimize resource use and support growth strategies. They will also handle engagements with external auditors, banking institutions, and financial partners, while coaching and managing finance team members.

Key Qualifications

• Robust background in finance with experience managing financial operations and facilitating strategic decisions.
• Strong skills in financial statement preparation and reporting, capable of delivering accurate and insightful financial data.
• Expertise in budgeting and financial planning, including forecasting, cost management, and optimizing resource allocation.
• Advanced analytical abilities for examining complex data, spotting patterns, and recommending clear strategies.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or comparable senior finance experience.
• Experience within growth-driven or health, nutrition, or consumer-centric sectors is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to interact effectively across departments and persuade senior stakeholders.
• High integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong focus on enhancing financial processes and controls.
• Familiarity working with subscription-first direct-to-consumer brands utilizing Shopify and XERO platforms.
