Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of Finance (Financial Control) based in Jeddah to lead the financial activities of Tabby Financing Company CJSC. This leadership role is crucial to ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to statutory requirements, and robust governance for our operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key Duties

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process with accuracy and promptness, targeting a D+3 deadline.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS (particularly IFRS 9, 15, 16), SOCPA standards, ZATCA tax regulations (income tax, zakat, VAT, withholding tax, and dividend tax), and SAMA prudential reporting rules.
  • Manage treasury operations including liquidity, bank accounts, merchant settlements, mandates, and approvals of payments within KSA.
  • Coordinate external audits and prepare audit-ready financial statements with thorough documentation.
  • Develop and strengthen internal controls across all financial processes.
  • Support provisioning and expected credit loss calculations for customer and merchant receivables under IFRS 9.
  • Lead the transition to the new ERP system, Oracle NetSuite, facilitating smooth integration and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Prepare and submit all statutory and prudential reports on time to SAMA and tax filings to ZATCA.
  • Ensure compliance with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies in collaboration with Group Tax.
  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team locally in KSA.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations divisions to guarantee financial readiness for launching new products including digital wallets, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), cards, remittance services, and loyalty/cashback programs.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with required SOCPA certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA plus SOCPA eligibility also acceptable).
  • 8 to 12+ years of relevant experience in financial controllership, statutory reporting, or finance leadership roles within FinTech, banking, payments, or Big 4 financial services auditing.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and local Saudi accounting and tax regulations.
  • Expertise in regulatory filings to SAMA and ZATCA, and managing external audits.
  • Experience with ERP platforms, specifically Oracle NetSuite preferred; familiarity with electronic invoicing systems like ClearTax is advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and some exposure to data analysis and SQL.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in developing and managing finance teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills in Arabic and English.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a drive for process improvements.
  • Possesses high ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Benefits

  • A flexible work arrangement that values trust and autonomy from the outset.
  • An opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding environment offering significant career growth and ownership.
  • Eligibility to participate in Tabby’s employee stock option plan.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
  • Monetary flexi perks that can be allocated towards health, well-being, education, or professional growth priorities.
