Role overview
This is a senior ecommerce leadership position based in Stockport, Manchester, with an office-based working arrangement. The role is focused on accelerating US growth by taking full ownership of online trading, strengthening the customer experience, and shaping a high-performing ecommerce operation across digital marketing, CRM, and onsite execution.
The position calls for a commercially minded, analytics-led leader who can balance revenue growth with customer retention, stock efficiency, and continuous platform improvement.
Ecommerce and trading
- Take responsibility for end-to-end ecommerce performance, with particular attention to conversion rate, average order value, and key onsite metrics.
- Direct trading activity around both new product launches and core stay-in-line ranges.
- Build and run ecommerce campaigns that improve revenue, sell-through, and inventory efficiency.
- Review trading and campaign outcomes and turn the findings into practical improvements.
Digital marketing leadership
- Oversee results across all major digital channels, including paid social, search, affiliates, and related performance media.
- Partner with the digital marketing team on strategy, testing, and channel growth.
- Keep marketing activity closely aligned with website performance and trading priorities.
CRM, loyalty, and customer growth
- Own and evolve the CRM and loyalty approach to strengthen engagement, repeat purchase behaviour, and customer lifetime value.
- Develop a community-focused customer experience strategy.
- Lead lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and other retention touchpoints.
Subscription growth
- Lead the Beauty Box subscription offer and support its expansion.
- Improve acquisition, retention, and subscriber lifetime value.
- Introduce ideas and initiatives that help the subscription business scale and stand out.
Campaign and commercial planning
- Own ecommerce campaign planning across all major trading periods.
- Coordinate product, marketing, and ecommerce teams so launches are delivered with strong impact.
- Drive actions that improve sell-through across collections and product categories.
Platform and innovation
- Keep up to date with Shopify developments and the broader app ecosystem.
- Assess new tools, features, and integrations that could improve site experience and performance.
- Continuously refine the technology stack to support scale, innovation, and growth.
Leadership and team development
- Manage, coach, and grow a strong ecommerce team covering digital, CRM, and onsite activity.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and development plans for team members.
- Encourage a culture of testing, performance, ownership, and accountability.
- Spot skills gaps and recruit strategically where the business needs additional capability.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product, Brand, Retail, and Operations to ensure joined-up execution.
Experience and expertise
- Background in a senior ecommerce leadership role, ideally in beauty, DTC, or fast-growing retail.
- Strong commercial judgement and a clear track record of driving revenue growth.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing channels.
- Hands-on expertise in CRM, retention, and loyalty strategy.
- Comfort working with data, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams.
