Notion is an AI-powered collaborative workspace designed to unify knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools in one place, making work more efficient and less fragmented. Serving millions of users from individuals to large enterprises, Notion prioritizes craftsmanship and human-centric innovation to transform how teams collaborate in the AI era.
As the Head of Early Career Recruiting, you will lead and expand Notion's early career hiring strategy, extending beyond engineering into the wider organization. This role involves partnering with internal leaders, universities, and talent networks to attract and secure emerging professionals who embody excellence and organizational values. You will champion AI-driven recruiting methods and foster program growth in dynamic ways.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global early career recruiting strategy covering internship initiatives, new graduate sourcing, and early professional talent pipelines across departments and regions.
- Lead, nurture, and scale a high-caliber early career recruiting team by defining performance standards and providing continual coaching.
- Act as a strategic consultant to leadership, offering market insights, compensation data, and a strong perspective on early-career talent sources and trends.
- Champion the implementation of AI technologies, automated workflows, and tools within early career recruiting processes to enhance sourcing, screening, and hiring efficiencies.
- Design robust programs and refine recruitment processes including internship structure, offer strategies, and intern-to-full-time conversion to maintain quality with speed.
- Track and optimize key performance indicators such as offer conversion rates, quality of hire, talent sources, and hiring velocity to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with brand storytelling to enhance Notion’s employer value proposition among early talent communities and with internal ambassador programs to strengthen referral pipelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of four years in leadership roles focused on early career recruiting encompassing university programs, internships, new grad hiring, and early professional roles across various functions.
- Innovative understanding of early talent engagement and evaluation methods, with eagerness to continuously refine approaches to attract emerging workforce members.
- Proven success in scaling high-impact early career recruiting teams in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
- Strategic mindset coupled with operational agility, capable of managing broad talent strategies and hands-on recruiting cycle challenges.
- Strong analytical capabilities demonstrated by data-driven decision-making using metrics related to funnel health, ROI, and recruitment outcomes.
- Credible advisor to senior executives, leveraging talent market expertise to influence major hiring and program investments.
- Enthusiastic adopter of AI tools and practices to redefine recruiting workflows, with history of team empowerment in technology adoption.
- Deep insight into early career compensation benchmarks, talent market trends, and effective partnerships with educational institutions and alternative talent sources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in program management or talent development with design and execution of structured early career pathways like rotational or mentorship programs.
- Demonstrated leadership in integrating AI to transform early career hiring beyond basic tool usage, including workflow innovation and team upskilling.
- Track record in diversity recruiting focused on historically black colleges and universities, community colleges, or other underrepresented groups with measurable success.
- Established network within university recruiting, early career, and campus talent ecosystems.
