The school prioritizes positive relationships and safe, inclusive learning environments through trauma-informed and culturally responsive education.

Role Overview

The Head of Department - Student Services will provide leadership across the three campuses, fostering student engagement, wellbeing, and educational success. This temporary role, lasting until 11 December 2026 unless otherwise extended (with a maximum extension of 12 months), involves collaboration with school staff, families, community organisations, and external agencies to design and implement evidence-based strategies addressing diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct initiatives to improve engagement, attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and seamless student transitions.
  • Develop strong partnerships with families, educators, higher education providers, community groups, and agencies to support student development holistically.
  • Enhance staff skills and school systems by delivering data-driven guidance, producing reports, and promoting equity-focused practices.
  • Manage resources and compliance by adhering to legislation and policies, overseeing financial, human, facility, and curriculum assets to meet school goals.
