Job description
About Outlook Therapeutics
Outlook Therapeutics is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming care standards for retinal diseases. Its leading product is the first ophthalmic formulation of its molecule authorized by the European Commission and the UK MHRA to treat wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), currently launching in Germany, Austria, and the UK. In the US, where the product remains investigational, the company has successfully appealed with the FDA and resubmitted its Biologics License Application aiming to become the first FDA-approved ophthalmic bevacizumab. Outlook Therapeutics is united with the vision-care community to improve outcomes for those living with retinal diseases.
Opportunity Overview
The company is at a pivotal commercial growth stage, offering a unique chance to lead and build the customer engagement function with significant visibility and direct impact. You'll partner closely with senior leadership, influencing patient access to a novel treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Equip Key Account Managers, Business Engagement Managers, and Field Reimbursement Managers with effective tools and resources that enhance customer engagement and boost field execution to drive launch success.
- Transform commercial strategies into actionable, field-ready materials that promote product adoption and strengthen ties with clients.
- Develop and implement innovative tools that support payer strategies, encourage patient switching, and increase unit sales, evaluating their effectiveness to scale successful initiatives and discontinue ineffective ones.
- Generate insights from retina buy/bill data to improve field force productivity, focusing on targeting efficiency and account engagement tactics.
- Analyze market opportunities by identifying untapped areas, optimizing territories, and advising on staffing patterns within KAM and BEM roles to maximize commercial reach.
- Lead special projects geared towards improving launch preparedness of the lead product.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical commercial operations, sales, or field enablement, particularly involving physician-administered (buy-and-bill) products.
- Proven track record creating field tools and driving field force effectiveness in launch or pre-launch settings.
- Expertise in retina or specialty buy/bill dynamics, reimbursement mechanisms, and payer/HEOR considerations.
- Strong analytical ability to convert data and market intelligence into decisions on territory design and deployment strategies.
- Excellent executive communication skills and capacity to influence across commercial, market access, and field leadership teams.
- Preferred experience includes retina, ophthalmology, or biologics markets with knowledge of FFE analytics, CRM/tooling systems, and incentive or deployment modeling.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $205,000 to $250,000, with an annual target bonus of 20% and eligibility for significant equity awards.
- Generous paid time off and company holidays.
- Flexible work arrangements balancing remote work and in-office collaboration.
- 401(k) plan with company match.
- Paid parental leave.
- Travel support for team events, launches, and fieldwork.
- A high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment with direct leadership access and opportunities for growth.
- Mission-driven work aimed at preserving vision for patients.
Equal Opportunity Commitment
The employer fosters an inclusive workplace and welcomes applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification.
