The team is growing and is entering a new phase of development.

Role Overview

The Head of Content will lead and transform Studio BlueGreen’s content strategy, managing a small but expanding team. This role entails overseeing the annual content budget, driving the creative vision across channels, building strategic partnerships, and spearheading the development of original entertainment formats that engage audiences and extend the brand’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the creative and commercial content strategy across all formats and platforms.
  • Initiate and test original entertainment formats with an eye on long-term distribution.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the content team members.
  • Manage and prioritize the annual content budget.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with talent, brands, production companies, and entertainment partners.
  • Oversee external collaborators, ensuring creative control and ownership of intellectual property remain with the studio.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and learning within the team.
  • Keep the team informed about current cultural trends and what engages audiences.
  • Ensure all content aligns with an overarching narrative rather than isolated moments.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for content success and team performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in digital-first entertainment, media, creator, or cultural brand environments.
  • Proven leadership of small creative teams with a collaborative approach.
  • Track record in developing digital entertainment formats and managing intellectual property successfully across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with CEOs, align teams, present to boards, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budget management, contract negotiation, and partnership development.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with creative intuition and execution capability.
  • Experience growing engaged audiences on social media, understanding what content resonates and why.
  • Well-versed in contemporary culture, including music, comedy, film, TV, and fashion; proactive in generating ideas.
  • Passion for the organization’s vision and a connection to nature.

Ideal Qualities

  • A creative leader who can provide clear direction and remain hands-on when needed.
  • Comfortable managing uncertainty with decisive decision-making, thriving in a test-and-learn scale-up environment.
  • Resourceful, able to maximize impact despite limited budget and team size.
  • Inclusive, curious, collaborative, and culturally aware.
  • Appreciates the role of humor and playfulness in creativity.

Success Metrics After One Year

  • Clear and embraced creative content strategy understood and implemented by the team.
  • Multiple original digital entertainment formats launched with data-driven insights and ongoing plans for distribution expansion.
  • Growth and active engagement of Studio BlueGreen’s community across priority platforms.
  • A motivated team consistently delivering high-quality work.
  • Established partnerships that amplify reach and creative resources.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • 28 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays
  • Private medical insurance including dental and optical coverage
  • 15% employer pension contributions
  • Bicycle scheme
  • Season ticket loan scheme
  • Modern office in South Kensington with shower/changing rooms and a kitchen stocked with drinks, fruit, and snacks
  • Hybrid working model: presence required in the London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Regular social events and team activities
