About the Role

As the Head of Commercial Business Innovation at Activate Learning, you will shape the organization’s future by creating new business avenues and driving revenue growth. This senior role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, launching innovative ventures, and transforming ideas into impactful commercial results.

You will identify promising opportunities, evaluate their viability, and lead projects from conception through execution. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales and Head of Commercial Finance, you will help steer Activate Learning's commercial expansion across educational and non-educational sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively discover and develop new commercial initiatives and partnerships, responding to market gaps with viable propositions.
• Produce thorough business cases, feasibility analyses, and proposals designed for senior leadership investment and approval.
• Manage projects diligently from idea to delivery, ensuring timely execution and measurable commercial outcomes.
• Conduct market research and engage stakeholders to monitor trends and customer needs, thus informing strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and finance to ensure all initiatives are financially sound, strategically aligned, and accompanied by clear recommendations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven success in roles focused on business development, commercial strategy, innovation, or consultancy with measurable outcomes.
• Strong expertise in preparing business cases and translating complex opportunities into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging senior executives and external partners.
• Sound commercial judgment and financial literacy to assess and decide on business opportunities based on evidence.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent role based at any Activate Learning campus with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite.
