Job description
About the company
Bezos is building a global fulfilment platform designed to help e-commerce brands grow without the usual operational complexity. The company supports fulfilment across the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia, bringing enterprise-level logistics capability to scaling brands through one platform and one team.
The business is moving quickly, operates with an AI-first mindset, and is backed by a Series A stage setup. Its ambition is to scale efficiently, and AI is central to that strategy.
Role overview
This role is focused on reshaping how the business operates by using AI to multiply team capability. The expectation is to go deep into a core function, understand the numbers and workflows in detail, and then redesign that function around AI so routine work is automated, judgment is improved, and the team can concentrate on higher-value work.
The position sits on the Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the CEO. It is not a purely advisory role: the person hired will be expected to build, ship, test, and improve real AI solutions that change day-to-day execution.
The initial focus area is flexible. Depending on the candidate’s strengths, the first mandate may centre on finance, operations, or the product side of the business. The common requirement is the ability to apply AI to transform a major business function.
What success looks like
- Identify the highest-leverage opportunities inside a core function and determine where AI can meaningfully automate, enhance, or reimagine the work.
- Create and launch practical solutions such as agents, automations, and internal tools rather than only producing strategy documents.
- Approach the function like a product, with a clear user focus, a testable MVP, measurable outcomes, and continuous iteration.
- Demonstrate clear business value from AI through time saved, costs reduced, or revenue gained.
- Set the direction for AI adoption at leadership level, strengthen AI capability across the organisation, and build a team as the function expands.
First 90 days
- Learn the business end to end and pinpoint the biggest AI opportunities across finance, operations, and product.
- Align with the CEO on the first mandate and deliver an early win that changes how the work is performed.
- Run that first improvement like a product initiative by defining the goal, shipping a minimum viable version, and measuring the results.
- Put in place a practical, lightweight way of building with AI that the wider team can follow.
Requirements
- You are deeply comfortable working with AI in your everyday workflow and are eager to build with agents, automations, and tools. You do not need to be a professional software engineer, but you should be prepared to work hands-on.
- You have previously owned and improved a function, team, business, or venture, and you can show the impact of that work.
- You think like a product owner: focused on user needs and business outcomes, quick to launch MVPs, open to feedback, and disciplined about prioritisation.
- You bring strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to reason from first principles, understand numbers and unit economics, and identify where value is created.
- You have high initiative and move quickly, making progress in ambiguity instead of spending too long on planning.
- You are ready to lead at SLT level and, over time, help build a team around the mandate.
- You communicate clearly, simplify complex ideas, and influence stakeholders across the business.
- You thrive in startup environments: energetic, low ego, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to work at pace.
Nice to have
- Experience in finance, operations, or another function that is highly analytical and decision-oriented.
- Hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or AI-enabled products.
- Background as a founder, co-founder, or early-stage operator.
- Exposure to e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or marketplace businesses.
- Experience in building or hiring teams.
Benefits
- A founding-style opportunity to redesign how a major part of the business works, in close partnership with the founder-CEO.
- High ownership and unusually broad scope, with the potential to earn an SLT seat.
- A credible path to creating and leading a team as the company grows.
- An entrepreneurial, fast-moving workplace with a genuine AI-native culture.
- Remote-first setup, with in-person meetings a few times each month.
- 25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
- Mental health support through Spill and a complimentary Headspace subscription.
