Job description

About the company

Bezos.ai provides fulfilment as a service for online sellers. Brands connect their marketplaces and storefronts such as Amazon, eBay, and Shopify, and the platform manages the rest: sending orders to warehouse and carrier partners around the world, tracking each parcel to the final customer, and giving sellers a single, clear view of their supply chain.

The team is small, fast-moving, and built around AI. The business is scaling quickly, with expectations to nearly double in 2026. Operations is the core of the company, and this role is designed to teach how a real logistics platform works in a setting where you have meaningful ownership from day one.

Your purpose in the role

You will act as a reliable backbone for the operations function. The job involves keeping orders moving, identifying items that are delayed, missing, or incorrect, handling seller and partner queries, running operational checks, and helping create AI-driven skills and automations that remove repetitive work. Over time, you will gain full visibility across the order lifecycle and become increasingly independent in solving problems.

What you will be responsible for

  • Maintain smooth order flow by running daily checks across systems, identifying orders that are missing, stalled, or mismatched, and fixing or escalating them as needed.
  • Handle operational tickets from sellers and partners, run internal checkers, and prepare and send invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Use Claude to build practical skills and automations, beginning with the recruitment exercise and expanding into broader operational use cases.
  • Continuously improve the tools and workflows you work with every day.

What success looks like in the first 90 days

  • Complete daily cross-system reconciliation consistently and clear exceptions from your queue.
  • Respond to operational tickets within SLA and operate the Bezos checkers without help.
  • Deliver your first functioning Claude skill or small automation that saves the team time.
  • Produce accurate work on a team project and begin handling open-ended tasks with less support.

Required profile

This role is aimed at candidates who are strong with numbers, comfortable working with data, and able to learn quickly in a high-ownership startup environment. You should be able to communicate clearly, stay dependable under pressure, and show that you can use AI tools to build practical solutions rather than only converse with them.

Requirements

  • You must have a degree, or clear equivalent experience, in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a strongly numerate economics, finance, or quantitative social science pathway.
  • You should be confident working with raw data and spreadsheets.
  • You need to be AI-native: you use Claude or similar tools in day-to-day work and can create a simple working Claude skill. The recruitment exercise requires you to demonstrate that you can build one.
  • You are dependable and coachable, delivering work on time, keeping it neat, asking questions when uncertain, and responding well to feedback.
  • You learn new systems and processes quickly and become productive without a long onboarding period.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and broad responsibility in a startup setting.
  • You can write clearly, present straightforward findings, and raise issues early.
  • Extra value is given to candidates who already have experience with skills or agents they have built themselves.

Nice to have

  • Internships or part-time experience in consulting, banking, operations, analytics, e-commerce, or a startup.
  • Basic coding ability in Python or SQL, or experience with no-code tools such as Make, Zapier, Retool, or Airtable.
  • Prior work creating a Claude skill, agent, or other automation.

Benefits

  • Work in a genuinely AI-first team using Claude, Retool, and Make every day, with budget and freedom to automate parts of your own job.
  • Help shape a role inside a rapidly growing company that is building for the future of e-commerce.
  • Join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, disciplined, and results-focused workplace that is also collaborative, team-oriented, and enjoyable.
  • Gain strong opportunities for growth, development, and real impact.
  • Work fully remotely, with in-person team meetups a couple of times each month.
  • Receive 25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Access mental health support through Spill and a free Headspace subscription.

Working arrangement

The role is fully remote, although the team comes together in person a few times each month. The location listed for the role is Nottingham, England, United Kingdom.
