Hardware Retail Sales Assistant

Role overview

Mitre 10 Onehunga is looking for a hardware sales assistant to join its busy Hardware Department in a permanent, full-time position. The role is for 40 hours each week and includes one weekend day, with working days from Tuesday to Saturday.

The department is known for strong product knowledge and outstanding service. In this position, you will support trade and DIY customers by helping them choose the right products and ensuring the store is well presented and stocked.

Key duties

Your day-to-day work will cover a mix of customer service, sales, stock handling, merchandising, and shelf replenishment. You will also help bring products in, set up new merchandise, and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.
