What you will do

As a Carpenter Handyman Professional, you will handle small to medium repair and maintenance work for residential and commercial projects. Jobs may last from around two hours to several days. You will speak with customers about what needs to be done, clarify the scope of work and expected costs, and help set realistic expectations. A key part of the role is creating repeat business by providing a strong customer experience and following the company’s step-by-step service process.

What the role involves

• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on homes and business properties.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work needed, timelines, and pricing.
• Build long-term customer relationships through reliable service and a consistent process.
• Work independently and manage your own tasks when not directly supervised.
• Interact professionally with customers, request reviews, and collect payments.
• Use the required tools and technology to complete and document jobs.
• Record work electronically while following the company’s service workflow.
• Wear proper PPE and shoe covers to protect customer homes.

Requirements

• Must live in the local area.
• At least 5 years of paid handyman experience is required.
• Having your own general tools is preferred; specialty tools and equipment will be supplied.
• Must be eligible to be insured to drive the company vehicle.
• Must pass a background check and driving record review.
• Should be able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own.
• Must be able to work safely at heights and overhead for long periods.
• Professional grooming and care of the company vehicle are expected.
• Experience in at least three of these areas is expected: carpentry, bathroom upgrades, kitchen upgrades, interior/exterior painting, drywall repairs, plumbing and electrical work where permitted by law, floor installation and refinishing, and knowledge of building codes.
