What you will do
As a Carpenter Handyman Professional, you will handle a variety of small to medium repair and maintenance projects for residential and commercial clients. Jobs may take as little as two hours or last for several days. You will also communicate clearly with customers, explain what work is needed, set expectations about scope and cost, and help create repeat business by delivering a consistently strong service experience. Work will be completed using the company’s repeatable service process.

- Work independently and manage your own day-to-day tasks, since you may often be working alone.
- Interact directly with customers, provide professional service, request reviews, and collect payments.
- Bring the tools needed for the role and be comfortable using technology on the job.
- Keep job details documented electronically while following the company process.
- Wear required PPE and boot covers to protect customers’ homes.
Minimum requirements
- You must live in the local service area.
- You need at least 5 years of paid handyman experience.
- Having your own general tools is preferred; specialty tools and equipment will be supplied.
- You must be eligible to be insured to drive the company vehicle.
- A background check and driving record review are required.
- You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- You need to safely work at heights and perform overhead work for long periods.
- A professional appearance and proper care of the company vehicle are expected.
Core experience areas
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom upgrades, kitchen upgrades, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, plumbing and electrical work where permitted by law, floor installation and refinishing, and familiarity with building codes.
