Role Overview
The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role by delivering outstanding service to patients and hospital visitors, fostering a welcoming environment within the hospital. Responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests to destinations within the facility, addressing inquiries, coordinating with hospital staff, and resolving guest concerns efficiently. This position requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach toward customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompanying guests to various locations throughout the hospital when requested.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hospital personnel, departments, and their location to direct guests accurately.
- Providing information to hospital staff members as required.
- Responding promptly to guest and team member requests both in person and by phone.
- Conducting routine visits to patient areas to identify and satisfy visitor and patient needs.
- Fostering strong working relationships with hospital staff, management, and affiliated departments such as Volunteers, Social Work, and Home Health.
- Helping Social Services coordinate patient and family transportation and lodging or flight arrangements.
- Exhibiting sensitivity and care towards patient and visitor concerns.
- Demonstrating professionalism in appearance, communication, and hygiene.
- Ensuring reliable attendance in line with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Complying with all Orlando Health policies and procedures at all times.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participating in required training sessions and staff meetings.
- Completing mandatory educational programs.
- Taking initiative for ongoing professional development.
- Performing other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
- No specific licensure or certification requirements.
- At least two years of experience in a customer service environment.
Working Hours and Location
Workdays are Monday through Friday with varying shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Position based at 1400 S Orange, Orlando, FL.
